UNICEPTA buys data analyst Giance Technologies

June 1, 2022

Media and marketing intelligence provider UNICEPTA Group has acquired Berlin-based enterprise data analyst Giance Technologies for an undisclosed sum.

Giance uses natural language understanding to extract information from more than 400 million data sources, and its machine learning approach can be used to identify information about products, companies, people and places contained in these data. The company’s solutions are used to track and understand competitors, suppliers and customers, and to monitor prospects.

As part of the UNICEPTA Group, Giance will form the research and development technology center, along with Ubermetrics Technologies, UNICEPTA’s AI-based content intelligence and analytics platform. Following the takeover, Giance founder Professor Dr Hans Uszkoreit (pictured) will join the UNICEPTA Group Advisory Board.

Jochen Freese, CEO of UNICEPTA Group, comments: “Freely accessible information in the media is an enormous and strategically valuable treasure trove of data for companies. However, the ever-increasing amount of data makes it almost impossible to systematically assess the truly relevant information. With Giance’s artificial intelligence technology, we create an additional offering of highly accurate and automated solution. »
