Applications are invited for nomination as Data Analyst (at the rank of Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant) in the Department of Emergency Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref: 511840), starting as soon as possible for one to three year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in data science, biostatistics, genomics or related discipline. They should have expertise in the statistical analysis of complex biomedical data, computational biology, and an interest in molecular cross-omics research. Experience in deep learning, genomics and applying other artificial intelligence approaches to medical data would be an added advantage. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may qualify as Senior Research Assistant.

Applicants should be a motivated and committed individual with good oral and written communication skills in English. They must also have the ability to work independently, to participate in highly collaborative projects and to contribute intellectually to the development of research. They need a practical mindset, perseverance, critical thinking and must be able to work well with a team of colleagues dedicated to cutting edge research in emergency medicine. The incumbent will investigate the molecular mechanisms of acute disease and injury using a variety of molecular and medical data.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment of Senior Research Assistant on a fixed basis of two to three years will result in an end-of-contract gratuity and a contribution from the University to a pension plan, up to 10% of base salary.
