Data Analyst – Gauteng Johannesburg North

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Build and own enterprise-wide reporting framework and capabilities
Build and maintain a basic reporting framework, creating visualizations and models that will improve operations
of the company
Initiate and manage improvements to the reporting tool, including process improvement development
opportunities to simplify and improve report analysis for line managers
Consult and collaborate with broader stakeholders in other business functions to identify reports and
data needs
Create dashboards and visualization based on business demands
Support the extended team by providing system coaching, development and technical support
Ensure data integrity is achieved through process improvement and auditing activities
2. Extract, analyze, collate and communicate data from various sources into actionable insights
Provide insightful analysis, commentary and recommendations to key stakeholders
use your modeling and data analysis skills to optimize stakeholder understanding of the business,
provide information and analysis that aims to reduce risk and cost or improve overall efficiency through
business units
Manage the process of updating reporting packages for stakeholders
Identification of trends and associated feedback on performance data to inform the business and
help in decision making
You will also be involved in building models and providing analytics to expand market share
while improving the end-user experience
Be the face of the data analytics team and partner to the business

Previous experience and demonstrated ability in managing multiple analytical systems and outputs

Knowledge and experience working with data warehousing
Extensive experience using SQL and trading experience with at least one of the following technologies:
Tableau/Power BI, Alteryx/Talend and R/Python.
Experience with cloud platforms, e.g. Azure, GCP, Databricks or Snowflake will also be considered favorably.
Proven experience working advanced in the Microsoft suite of products (specifically Microsoft Outlook,
Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project).

Minimum requirements
Strong business experience (5 years minimum) as a data analyst (or similar) coupled with a graduate degree from a recognized institution in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, applied statistics or a related quantitative discipline) and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. fast-paced and agile environment filled with complex technical and business challenges.
