E-commerce Data Analyst at Headhunters – Gauteng Johannesburg Region

Our national client is currently looking to hire an eCommerce Data Analyst.

Insight:
The analyst will be responsible for collecting, cleaning and analyzing data, as well as communicating their findings to the team. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as experience working with data-driven decision-making.

Minimum requirements:

  • Completed degree or higher certificate in data science, data analytics, statistics or similar.
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in database design, data models, data mining and segmentation.
  • Proficiency in statistics and statistical software packages used for the analysis of datasets.
  • Knowledge of languages ​​such as python and SQL; Other languages ​​of choice also accepted.
  • Ability and experience in applying data processing algorithms to different datasets.
  • Experience and proven experience in data analysis.
  • Excellent communication/presentation, time management and teamwork skills.
  • Adept at queries, writing reports and delivering presentations.
  • Extremely accurate with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Use automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources, perform analyzes to assess data quality and meaning.
  • Identification/removal of corrupted data, identification of outliers and related issues that affect data communication.
  • Developing/Maintaining data systems – reorganizing data into a readable format/Converting data.
  • Filter data by reviewing reports and performance metrics to identify and fix issues.
  • Use statistical tools to identify, analyze and interpret patterns and trends in complex datasets that could be useful for diagnosing and predicting trends; work with the eCommerce team to identify and track the impact of system changes
  • Assign a numerical value to critical business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.
  • Tracking the effects of changes and impact on conversion rates.
  • Prepare and present reports for management showing trends, patterns and forecasts using relevant data.
  • Work with eBusiness, Marketing, Support, and Management leaders to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system changes, and design data governance strategies.
  • Prepare final analysis reports for stakeholders to understand the data analysis steps, enabling them to make important decisions based on various facts and trends.
