Risk Data Analyst

An investigative mindset with problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about data to deliver high-quality results on investigations, compliance, and other business risk matters.
Participate in assignments related to risk analysis, risk mitigation, fraud, compliance and other risk investigations and litigation.
Use a variety of data collection methods to document observations, research and evidence. Find usable sample data to inform alignment with protocols and best practices.
Perform integrity, completeness, and validation exercises on imported data before performing data analysis or manipulation.
Conduct investigations using data analytic approaches, pattern analysis, research skills, attention to detail, etc.
Responsible for validating, querying and analyzing large complex datasets, working in teams and researching new tools and advanced analytical techniques.
Analyzes financial records, accounting data, database extracts, audit data, data logs, and other data sets or types of records to identify patterns or transactions that exhibit characteristics of alarm signal
Provide written and oral reports – strong verbal and written communication skills and superior analytical skills.

Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
Ability to personalize and communicate results for a variety of client audiences, internal risk, compliance and operations stakeholders.
Ability to work with one or more teams with varying skills and in collaboration.
Ability to work with a high degree of professionalism and autonomy

Relevant education is required, with reasonable work experience.
Bachelor’s degree, required; Computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering or accounting specialization an advantage
Experience in data analysis 4+ years
Ability to write SQL queries and manage large datasets in SQL Server or other databases to support various reporting requirements.
Ability to design and execute a variety of analytical tests, perform analytical calculations, analyze and test sample data.
Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle certifications an asset
Tableau or Power BI certification, and benefit
Ability to write SQL queries and manage large datasets in SQL Server or other databases to support various forensic reports, required
Exposure or experience with Python, R and/or other programming languages ​​or tools an advantage
Experience with profiling and data management tools an asset
Experience with data visualization software an asset
Exposure to forensic risk analyses; Fraud analysis; Compliance analysis ; business intelligence; Artificial intelligence; Data visualization; Data automation; Data warehousing, an advantage
