We are looking for a talented Senior Data Analyst to join the team to support FOX’s latest initiative, FOX Weather. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will focus on developing analytics and reports for the FOX Weather team and key business stakeholders. The analysis will focus on FOX Weather content consumption and engagement, app behavior, and connection of weather impact to app usage.

In this role, you will use critical thinking to help drive decision-making through detailed strategic analysis, insights and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to accelerate audience and profit growth. Precision must be held at the highest level. You will be responsible for query data, modeling and problem solving.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you should be able to translate data into visual presentations for different levels of data literacy. You will work alongside members of the operational and tactical teams, and report regularly to key leaders.


  • Develop baseline reports to keep the FOX Weather team informed about app engagement, performance, downloads, and user behavior
  • Support daily monitoring of upload and engagement performance, extracting key trends and anomalies that allow the team to focus on untapped opportunities or risk mitigation when developing plans
  • Lead a cohort of clients and behavioral analysis
  • Define customer lifetime value and develop customer segmentation and engagement analysis
  • Mine large datasets and surface food for thought, trends and lessons learned from the public
  • Perform a wide range of ad hoc analytical studies to identify actionable insights and recommendations for programming, marketing, content, and product teams supporting the FOX Weather initiative
  • Provide personalized studies on the impact weather conditions may have on app usage and help inform decisions for future feature development
  • Develop analytics to monitor performance against competitors in the weather industry
  • Help structure A / B and multivariate testing, ensuring that the monitoring structure and methodology is strong in order to produce meaningful information and metrics of success.


  • 3 to 5 years in digital performance analysis, with expertise developed in a rapidly evolving consumer business
  • In-depth knowledge of database applications such as Amazon Redshift and programming languages ​​(SQL, Python) and experience joining large datasets
  • Experience translating premier and third party data such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, AppsFlyer, Optimizely, WSI, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Excel functions, formulas, VLOOKUP and PivotTables
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Table preference)
  • Advanced analysis in a media environment
  • Proven ability to build an AB / multivariate (MVT) testing approach from hypothesis generation to data collection and conclusions
  • Strong communication skills, and value building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Interpersonal with the ability to work on multiple groups and levels in the organization
  • Positive, people-oriented and energetic attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit


  • A degree in business analysis, statistics, mathematics, economics, commerce or computer science
