Senior Data Scientist New Industry Sectors UCD Job at UNIVERSITY COLLEGE DUBLIN (UCD)

Applications are invited for a temporary position of a Senior Data Scientist (New industrial sectors), within the UCD School of Computer Science – CeADAR.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Senior Data Scientist at the Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence (CeADAR). CeADAR is partly funded by Enterprise Ireland and IDA and is the national center for applied data analytics and artificial intelligence. Its market-driven curriculum is developed in conjunction with its strong membership base of over 90 multinationals and SMEs.

CeADAR is looking for an experienced, high caliber individual with a proven track record in AI/data science spanning technical leadership, obtaining funding grants, project management and business development activities. The successful candidate will also be expected to help establish the Centre’s strategic agenda. CeADAR is based at UCD and is a collaboration between UCD and TUD.

CeADAR conducts research in AI and data analytics and related fields and develops proof-of-concept applications in cooperation with our industrial partners. The Center is also active in its participation in Horizon 2020/Europe consortia.

Research at CeADAR covers a broad spectrum, including explainable AI, computer vision, cybersecurity, machine learning, prediction, text mining and natural language processing, data visualization and Data managment. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work on a range of advanced projects in collaboration with industry partners and other researchers at the cutting edge of AI.

Wage scale: €60,000 – €73,000 per year Appointment within the above range will depend on qualifications and experience.
